Back by popular demand... open house at the Brewery was on 17-19 June 2011.
15 ales were available (list below), of which the Saison was first to finish, while popular vote put the Black Cherry Stout as the best beer. Look out for Amberfest 2012 in June!Final Beer List:
- Double Chocolate Stout (6.0%) NEW! - Roasty stout with extra chocolate Malt and cocoa nibs
- Chocolate Orange Stout (4.0%) - Dark chocolate flavours with an orange finish
- Liberty (4.0%) - Subtle roast compliments the hoppy flavours
- Elderflower Infusion (4.0%) - Blond beer infused with elderflower
- Samuel Slater (4.5%) - Hoppy pale ale named for Belper's 'Slater the traitor'
- Chinook (4.1%) NEW! - Barnes Wallis bitter, dry hopped with US Chinook for 'grapefruit' flavours
- Honey Mead beer/Braggat Ale (5.8) NEW! - Is it a beer? Is it a mead? 50/50 malt and honey, lightly hopped
- Hop Devil (4.8%) NEW! - Extra-hoppy pale ale with Warrior, Nugget, Cascade and Galena hops
- Chilli 6 (4.0%) - Pale ale infused with chilli
- Bramling Cross (4.1%) NEW! - Barnes Wallis bitter, dry hopped with English Bramling Cross for 'blackcurrant' flavours
- Honey Rye (4.5%) - Pale ale with spicy rye malt and a touch of honey
- Strawberry Blond (4.2%) - Blond beer infused with tons of fresh strawberries
- Saison (6.0%) - Speciality farmhouse ale with a Belgian yeast for a cloudy effect
- Vienna Marzen (4.5%) - Vienna style beer with lager yeast, matured for 3 months
- Black Cherry Stout (4.8%) - Special fruity stout with black cherry, like a gateau!
